The Black Hole Hood stands out for its unique properties. Mirzapour's design draws inspiration from the powerful vacuum of black holes and wormholes, resulting in a product that is not only functional but also evokes emotional responses. The modern and minimalistic form of the hood adds a touch of elegance to any kitchen, making cooking an emotionally engaging experience.
The realization of this design involved a combination of hard plastic, metal, and glass. The body of the hood is a sandwich of hard plastic and metal, while the second part is made of two layers of glass with a thin smart digital touch glass for the buttons. This design also includes a central filter, two light filters, and a motor at the top of the product.
With a diameter of 490 mm and a height of 1100 mm, the Black Hole Hood is designed for island kitchens. Its light weight and easy installation make it a convenient addition to any kitchen. The hood is operated by touching buttons on the glass, adding to the overall sleek and modern design.
Mirzapour's design journey began in September 2017 in Tabriz and concluded in March 2018 in Tehran. The concept of the Black Hole Hood was born out of a desire to create a product that evoked both power and emotion. The challenge was to translate the powerful vacuum concept of black holes and wormholes into a minimalistic and emotional form. The result is a product that is not only functional but also carries a mental image and usage story for users.
In conclusion, Elham Mirzapour's Black Hole Hood is a testament to the power of innovative design. By drawing inspiration from cosmic concepts, Mirzapour has created a kitchen appliance that is not only functional but also emotionally engaging. This unique blend of form and function has earned the Black Hole Hood the Silver A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2018, a testament to its outstanding design and innovation.
